Investigation Of Disease Spectrum Of In-patient Soldiers In An Army Hospital Of The Second Plateau Region Of The Central Part Of Yunnan Province

ObjectiveTo investigate the disease spectrum of in-patient soldiers of the second plateau region of central part of Yunnan province and to provide the data for formulating plan of army medical service.Methods10501 cases of in-patient soldiers (Including 4436 cases of privates,2419 cases of general cadres and 3646 cases of the above division cadres) in an army hospital from 2001 to 2004 were selected and classified according to ICD-9.Then the datas of these cases were analyzed.ResultsBased on the disease constituent percentage of privates ,the main three kinds of system diseases were digestive system (23.76%), respiratory system(19.16%) and injury and intoxation(12.53%),the main three diseases were appendicitis (25.21%),upper respiratory tract infection (19.16%),and kidney angina (11.02%),the main three kinds of infectious and parasitic diseases were Salmonella infection(48.18%),tuberculosis(16.19%) and Herpes zoster (13.77%),the main three kinds of mental diseases were hysteria(38%),neurasthenia(16%)and brain trauma disease syndrome(14%) ,the days of privates in hospital were 17.38±14.12 d, the average cure rate is 78.45%; on the disease constituent percentage of general cadres , the main three kinds of system diseases were digestive system(21.12%),the others (18.52%), respiratory system(13.02%), the main three kinds of diseases are parturition by gastrohysterotomy(16.80%), holelithiasis cholecystolithiasis(13.07%)and upper respiratory tract infection(12.80%),in pregnancy ,parturition and puerperal complication, the main three kinds of diseases are parturition by gastrohysterotomy ,regular parturition,miscarry;the days of general cadres in hospital were 19.02±15.84d, the average cure rate is 76.06%,the rate of parturition by gastrohysterotomy is 81.29%; on the disease constituent percentage of the above division cadres, the main three system diseases of male sex are circulatory system diseases(35.04%),respiratory system(20.43%) and digestive system(13.66%), the main three system diseases of female sex are circulatory system diseases(24.22%),respiratory system(14.91%),muscle and skeleton system(13.66%),the main three diseases are coronary disease (32.11%),inistry infects(12.51%) ,upper respiratory tract infection(10.96%),the main three doom reasons are malignant tumor,circulatory system and respiratory system , the days of the above division cadres in hospital were 32.37±28.15 d, the average cure rate is 60.45%;Conclusionsthe common diseases of in-patient soldiers and doom reasons of the above division cadres were determined ;Salmonella infection(48.18%),tuberculosis(16.19%) and Herpes zoster (13.77%)were common infectious diseases of privates; Salmonella infection was very important constituent to the health of privates; hysteria,neurasthenia and brain trauma disease syndrome were common mental diseases; the days of soldiers in hospital increased according to private ,general cadres and the above division cadres,but the average cure rate reduced one by one; as for the female general cadres ,the rate of parturition by gastrohysterotomy is 81.29%; the medical war preparedness of the primary troops was dishonest in the central part of Yunnan province ;propose , to strengthen health service construction of the primary troops and to depend on local healthy resources to solve health service of the above division cadres; to unite healthy resources of the whole region into a health group in order to reinforce the normal times and meet the war times ;health information net ought to be constructed between primary health units and hospitals in the normal times and war times;in army medical services ,soldiers and medical prevention should be the first ,and then medical treatment ,experts should move forward .
