Objective: When ligustrazine solution and hypertonic saline were applied to the rats of CPR their protection and the mechanism were studied. The modus operandi of cerebral resuscitation were investigated. Methods: 32 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups:the control group (n=8),ligustrazine-treated group (n=8),HS-treated group (n=8),combined-medication group (n=8).The models of SD rats were intravenously injected with NS, ligustrazine,10%HS,ligustrazine+10%HS respectively after the rat models of asphyxial cardiac arrest were established.Restoration of spontaneous circulation time, arterial blood/brain homogenate MDA,dry-weigh/wet-weigh,mean arterial pressure,Neurodeficit Score and the pathological change of the hippocampus were compared.Result: In the medication groups ROSC time decreased significantly (p<0.05),MAP at ROSC10, 30, 60min increased significantly (p<0.05), NDS (24h,48h) increased significantly (p<0.05),the survival ratio increased significantly (p<0.05),D/W increased significantly (p<0.05) and cerebral pathological outcome were better compared with the control group; In the combined-medication group and the ligustrazine-treated group the arterial blood/brain homogenate MDA decreased significantly compared with the control group (p<0.05);Furthermore,in the combined-medication group the arterial blood/brain homogenate MDA decreased significantly compared with the ligustrazine-treated group(p<0.05). There was no statistical difference(p>0.05) between the HS-treated group and the control group in the arterial blood(1h)/brain(48h) MDA;In addition, there was no statistical difference(p>0.05) between the HS-treated group and the ligustrazine-treated group in ROSC time,MAP(60min),NDS(24,48h), the survival ratio(48h) and D/W.Conclusion: Intravenous injection of ligustrazine/hypertonic saline improve cerebralresuscitation outcome after asphyxial cardiac arrest in rats;Ligustrazine combined HS does it better.
