| Objective: To study the expression and the relation of tissue transglutaminase in human lens epithelial cells and fibronectin in lens anterior capsules. Methods: First, on the basis of etiopathogenisis, we separate the patient into the group of age-related cataract, traumatic cataract and no cataract of normal lens. Second, under the slit-lamp, we separate the age-related cataract group into cortical cataract group and nuclear cataract group. The circular sections of the anterior capsules with attached human lens epithelial cells were obtained by operation. The lens anterior capsules were stained by DAB immunohistochemical technique and observed under the light microscopy. The stain density of tissue transglutaminase and fibronectin were measured with computer-aided color image analysis. We use SPSS11.5 rank sum test to analyze the statistical difference of every group samples'average gray level and correlation analysis analyze the correlation of tissue transglutaminase and fibronectin.Result:The expression of tissue transglutaminase in the human lens epithelial cell of cortical cataract was higher than that of nuclear cataract and traumatic cataract in statistics(P<0.05), the expression of fibronectin in the human lens anterior capsule of cortical cataract was higher than that of nuclear cataract, traumatic cataract and no cataract of normal lens in statistics(P<0.05), there is no obvious difference between the other group. Correlation analysis disclose the expression of fibronectin in the human lens capsule can be partly explained by the difference of tissue transglutaminase in the human lens epithelial cells. Conclusion: the higher expression of tissue transglutaminase in human lens epithelial cells of cataract will partly augment the formation of fibronectin in human lens capsule. |
