ECG measurement of the cardiovascular system is an important means in health monitoring. It's more than 100 years since Einthoven using strings of first_line measure electrocardiogram in 1903.The heart electrical theory and practical application got greater development because of the improvements in recording technology and the accumulation of clinical experience. However, an independent equipment using for analysis ECG signal often requires higher cost of computing resources. Using a kind of microprocessors with limited computing resource(such as SCM) to achieve real-time analysis. After studying with the law of abnormality heart beats arising from the abnormal ECG changes, the present work designs a ECG measurement and analysis system. This system realize implemented real-time monitoring and analysising the ECG signal. The present work adopt method called the time-scaling of R wave that simplified the complexity of identify the abnormal ECG signal.A software algorithm named time-scaling of R wave is designed to achieve a detection of abnormal ECG signal. There are two parameters, DIFFRR and RPM, in the algorithm in order to judge whether the ECG signal is normal or abnormal. DIFFRR is the parameter that reflect the time interval of R-waves between two continuous ECG cycle. RPM figures the differences between one R waveform in a ECG cycle and the ordinary continuous waveform. In order to calculate the second parameter quickly, a matrix named RWM which is used for record continuous waveform parameters is designed in present work. Then a ECG Monitoring System based on the algorithm of time-scaling of R wave is developed. In the end, ECG data in ECG database(MIT-BIH) are tested by the algorithm. The result shows 87% of abnormal beats are identified by this algorithm.410h10is paper is composed of 6 chapters, and the structure and content as follows:Chapters 1 is the introduction of the paper. It is mainly talks on the development of the electrocardiogram. Then it analysis the strengths and weaknesses of the current ECG monitoring equipment, and give the significance of the issue. Chapters 2 described the principle of the time-scaling of R wave algorithm. Time-scaling of R wave algorithm is a judge abnormal ECG algorithm based on the waveform changes of the ECG signal. This algorithm method of calculation is relatively simple and less occupation of computing resources.Chapter 3 described the hardware circuits of ECG data acquisition system. The signal conditioning circuit which is composed of analogue filter and amplifiers, is responsible for filtering hand enlarging the original ECG singal. Philips LPC2210 used as a main controller in the data acquisition system ,because of its powerful, fast processing speed. After sampling the ECG signal by ADC. the digital ECG data will be send to PC through RS232.Chapter 4 mainly talks about the design of the software on PC.PC software is compose of two parts: ECG pretreatment part and cardiac abnormal detection part. Wavelet decomposition and the mean filter are used in ECG pretreatment part. Cardiac abnormal detection part is responsible for determining location of R wave, Extraction R wave, Calculation of R waveform parameters, Analysis of R-wave intervals, and according to the waveform parameters and intervals of R wave to determine whether the ECG signal is normal or abnormal.Chapter 5 is part of system testing. Including hardware testing and software testing. Software test results include the test of R-position detection procedures and R wave abnormal judement procedures. In the part of software testing, In addition to the measured ECG data from the volunteers, ECG data from internationally recognized ECG database(MIT-BIH) is also tested by the algorithm. Chapter 6 is the aggregate of the full text, and made recommendations of the nest phase of work.
