Objective:To impersonate the clinical profession of toxicity action by injecting local anesthesia. To investigate the effects of cardial function and ATP energetic metabolism by intravenous injection with the different dose of ropivacaine in rabbit. Methods: Thirty-two New Zea.land white rabbit were randomly divided into control group and three different dose of ropivacaine groups. After supine fixation and local anesthesia, electrocardiogram and cardiac function are measured by inserting pipes into rabbits' left ventricle. They are analyzed and compared between each group. After ten minutes, rabbits injected drugs are quickly done to die.ATPase and pathological chage would be measured with the refrigerant heart from the died rabbits. Results:After being injected ropivacaine, rabbits coming from every group have changed differently at cardiac function, etc.LVSP and±dp/dtmax decrease, heart rate accelerate early and are slow late.Parts of rabbits come on arrhythmia,a few rabbits occur ventricular fibrillation and are even dead.Toxity action of majority rabbits injected drugs are relieved slowly and cardiac function present trend recoverd after five to ten minutes, activity of myocardial ATPase are accord with the dose of ropivacaine injected. Conclusions:Different dose of ropivacaine injected in rabbit have the different effects on myocardial ATPase and cardiac function.
