Objective:When the screw-rod internal fixation system is used for Degenerative spondylolisthesis,titanium rod is usually repetitively bended during the operation,and according the anti-fatigue of titanium rod would be decreased and the operative duration prolonged.in this study,the influential factors for rod bending and the Feasibility to precisely bend the rod were investigated based on the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip.Methods:31 female patients with the L4 degenerative spondylolisthesis(gradeⅠandⅡ,Meyerding system),who were treated by Department spinal surgery,affiliated hospital of Traditional chinese medicine of Xinjiang Medical University,were selected from February 2006 to September 2007.They were aged 58.3 years(ranges,40~70years).the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip were measured respectively before operation,the bended titanium rod based on the corresponding standards was inserted.the L4 lumbar vertebra was supposed as the rigid body to establish the multiple linear regression between the dependent variable(the angle of bending rod) and independent variable(the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip),the variables were analyzed and evaluated statistically,date analysis was performed with SPASS 13.0 software.Results:According the JOA score,the marks are 8.300±1.080 and 26.916±1.859 respectively,There was a significant difference postoperatively when compared with preoperatively(P<0.05).All 31 subjects were involved in the result analysis,there was correlation between angle of bending rod and the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip.The multiple linear regression equation was:Y(the angle of bending rod)= 0.1390-0.327 log x1(the angle of lumbar lordosis)+0.463x2(the slipping angle)+0.288x32(percent of slip).The operating time was 51.29±3.408 min by preliminary bending the rod when operated on 30 patients.But the operating time was 102.36±5.004 min by experience when bent the rod in the operation in early days,There was a significant difference between them(P<0.05).Estimated according 90%,95%and 99%area under the normal curve,the clinical coincidence for the angle of bending rod of 30 patients was 80%,90%and 96.67%differently.Conclusions:There is correlation between angle of bending rod and the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip.70.43%of the change in angle of bending rod could be explained by the angle of lumbar lordosis,slipping angle and percent of slip.it is possible to preliminary bend the rod definitely in a relative way before the operation to diminish the strain of the titanium rod and apare the operating time.There is a good result in clinical application and clinical coincidence.
