It is always a topic for Orthopedic surgeon that repairing soft tissue defect. Skin flaps can not repair the wound surface with bone and tendon exposed. Random fasciocutaneous flap and adipofascial flap who have fascial pedicle can do it .they had been generally used because of convenience and agility and rare failure. However, the ratios of the length to width used in random fascial pedicle flaps were not unity in clinical reports. As long as the base length used in random turnover adipofascial flap. It result in wasting donor flaps or necrosis in distal end.We used pigs as the animal model of random fasciocutaneous flap and random adipofascial flap and skin flaps and random turnover adipofascial flap. To test random fasciocutaneous flap and random adipofascial flap and skin flaps'ratios of the surviving length to width and the smallest base length of random turnover adipofascial flap. The flaps were evaluated with fluorescence examination and measurement of survival length to width and pathology by HE stain. It can supply reference for clinical using.1. Experimental study on the comparison among the ratio of the surviving length to width of random fascial pedicled flaps.Objective:To observe the ratio of the surviving length to width of random fascial pedicled flaps. Methods:three types random flaps were created in 7 pigs'random place of torso and limbs with different directions. The flaps were evaluated with fluorescence examination and measurement of survival length to width. Results :the ratio of flap survival length to width of random fasciocutaneous flap is 1.90±0.16. random adipofascial flaps'is 1.67±0.12. random skin flaps'is 1.33±0.18. Conclusion:the ratio of flap survival length to width of random fascial pedicled flaps is less than axial-pattern flap and Link -pattern flap while more than the skin flaps.2. Experimental study on the smallest base length of the random turnover adipofascial flap.Objective:To clarify the influence of the base length of the random turnover adipofascial flap on the ratio of the surviving length to width. Methods:36 adipofascial flap in 3 groups were created in 6 pigs'torso and limbs with different base length to treat the wounds had been made in different place and direction. The flaps were evaluated with fluorescence examination and measurement of survival length to width. Results:35 adipofascial flap in 3 groups survived in different degree except one with 0.5 cm base length were dead for infection. The ratio of flap survival length to width was the same on the flap with 2cm and 1cm base length(P>0.05) ,but different from the flap with 0.5cm base length(P<0.05). Conclusion:The random turnover adipofascial flap with 1cm base length was the same ratio of flap survival length to width on the flap with 2cm base length.but the flap with 0.5cm base length has significant deviation with the others.3. Experimental study on the comparison between Neurocutanous vascular flap and random fasciocutaneous flap.Objective:To make the comparison among the ratio of the surviving length to width and its blood supply basis of neurocutanous vascular flap and random fasciocutaneous flaps Methods : 14 fasciocutaneous flaps were created in 2 pigs'torso and limbs with different directions.two fasciocutaneous flaps were found suvived more than others. Base of flaps were evaluated with pathology by HE stain, calculation of the number and its total area of blood vessels in five unit area with most vessels. Results:The ratios of flap survival length to width of the neurocutanous vascular flap and the . random fasciocutaneous flap have significant deviation(P<0.05) The number and its total area of blood vessels in unit area of the neurocutanous vascular flap and the . random fasciocutaneous flap have significant deviation(P<0.05). Conclusion:the ratio of flap survival length to width of neurocutanous vascular flap is superior to the random fasciocutaneous flap because of its good blood supply.
