The Differences On The Expression Of P19~(ARF) And P16~(INK4a) In Human Osteosarcoma | Posted on:2007-06-11 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:C Deng | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2144360242963231 | Subject:Bone surgery | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | Objective : To elucidate the differences in tumor genesis , progression on the expression of p19ARF and p16INK4a in human osteosarcoma. Methods : Paraffin embedded surgical specimens from 37 cases of human osteosarcoma are used to detect p19ARF and p16INK4a proteins by monoclonal indirect immunofluorescence method. Results : p16INK4a protein was detected in 21 of 37(56.8 %) cases in human osteosarcoma , p19ARF protein was detected in 15 of 37(40.5 %) cases in human osteosarcoma : no significant correlate expression of p19ARF proteins and p16INK4a protein was found in human osteosarcoma. No obvious correlations were found between the expression of p16 and p19 and the tumor staging , grading , major vascular involvement and lung metastasis in hunman osteosarcoma. Conclusion :P16 and p19 downregulation seems to be a important event in tumor genesis and progression in hunman osteosarcoma. In hunman osteosarcoma , none of these two tumor inhibiting genes seems to play important roles.
