Objective: From comparing the clinical effects of different management for neovascular glaucoma.Method: We chose 33 cases(35eyes) diagnosed NVG which had been treated in our hospital from January 2003 to December 2007,including 7 cases (8 eyes) with panretinal photocoagulation, 7 cases (7eyes) with panretinal photocoagulation combining with trabeculectomy, 19 cases (20 eyes) with cryotherapy on peripheral retina and ciliary body.According to subjective sensation, intraocular pressure(IOP), visualacuity, ophthalmalgia, complications of the patients after operation, we did this clinical analysis. The follow-up was 3-12 months.Result: IOP was reduced significantly in all groups. During the follow-up period, the ratios of IOP reached evaluation criterion in all group are: panretinal photocoagulation group 62.6%, panretinal photocoagulation combining with trabeculectomy group 57.1%, cryotherapy on retina and ciliary body group 60%.Ophthalmalgia in all eyes is not remission obviously and visual acuity is not increased manifestatively. Conclusion:â‘ The main etilogical factors causing new vascular glaucoma are retinal vein occlusion and diabetic retinopathy.â‘¡Various management for NVG can be chosen according to different condition.â‘¢Argon laser retinal photocoagulation combining with trabeculectomy for eyes with NVG have better curative effect.â‘£Cryotherapy on peripheral retina and ciliary body is effective therapy for eyes with NVG that cannot be treated with retinal photocoagulation due to refractive media opacity.
