| Objective To discuss the method and effect of endovascular embolization in intracranial aneurysms. Methods 70 cases(77 intracranial aneurysms)which had been treated by the endovascular therapy from 2003 to 2007 were retrospectively analysed. Results 50 narrow-neck aneurysms and 11 wide-neck aneurysms were embolized only by Detachable Coils.13 wide-neck aneurysms were embolized by combined use of stents and GD.3 large and huge intracranial aneurysms were embolized by parent artery occlusion.100%occlusion were obtained in 49 aneurysms,95%occlusion in 15,90%occlusion in 11,80%occlusion in 2.9 cases suffered from complications relative to the procedure:3 cerebral vesselan angiospasm occurred,3 aneurysm ruptured,2 coil projected into parent artery,1 stent migrated.52 patients were Followed up for 2-53 months and they all did not suffer from symptom of SAH again.43 of 52 Followed up cerebral angiography to demonstrate that neck become long in 3 aneurysms which did not arrange again. Conclusion endovascular embolization is a minimally invasive, safe, effective modality for the treatment of intracranial aneurysm. |
