To find some relativity between the PUFAs level of blood RBC on the differ pregnant periods and the infants intelligence developmentObjective: We have randomly drawn out 50 normal pregnant (20±2) weeks woman and their normal infants during the 2007 to February 2008 as objects. Pregnant woman were medical examination in Obstetrics and Gynecology hospital of Dalian. PUFAs levels were measured from the RBC of 50 normal pregnant women during (20±2) weeks and full-term gestation by capillary gas chromatography. Nerval development quotient were evaluated with scale of CDCC (Children's Development Center of China) in 3 to 4 months old infants, CDCC included of mental development index (MDI) and psycho-motor development index (PDI). According to score of MDI and PDI divided the babies into two groups respectively. Mental development higher score group (MDI≥110) and lower score group (110>MDI≥90);Psycho-motor development higher score group (PDI≥110) and lower score group (110>PDI≥90).Methods: We have investigated with general questionnaire, Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices (RSPM), Children's Development Center of China (CDCC). Data was input in the computer, statistic analysis used sample t test, Pearson correlation, and Multiple Linear Regression.Results: 1. Compare the RSPM score and the prenatal training of the parents in different groups babies: No difference in statistics are found between any group (P>0.05). 2. Correlative study of PUFAs level of RBC membrane in differ pregnant periods: AA, EPA, DHA and n-6/n-3 of (20±2) weeks were positively correlated with that of full-term. 3.Compare PUFAs level of RBC membrane in differ pregnant periods between the different MDI and PDI:①higher MDI score group suggested higher AA, EPA, DHA, and n-6/n-3 level of (20±2) weeks than the lower MDI group (P<0.05); Except the n-6/n-3. PDI higher score are also suggested same change in full-term gestation (P<0.05);②higher PDI score group suggested higher EPA, DHA, level of (20±2) weeks than the lower PDI group (P<0.05), reversal results be found in 20:3 and n-6/n-3 level (P<0.05); Except the n-6/n-3. PDI higher score suggested higher AA, EPA, level than the lower group in full-term gestation (P<0.05); 4.Correlative study:①MDI were positively correlated with the AA, EPA, DHA level of RBC membrane at pregnant two periods (P<0.05).②PDI positively correlated with the AA, EPA, DHA level of RBC membrane at pregnant two periods(P<0.05), and negatively correlated with the 18:2 and n-6/n-3 level at pregnant (20±2) weeks (P<0.05).Conclusions: 1. the babies in high intellectual development degree group, AA, EPA, DHA level of RBC membrane at two pregnant periods are high.2. AA, EPA, DHA level of RBC membrane at two pregnant periods are higher, the degree intellectual development of infants is higher.3. n-6/n-3 of RBC membrane at two pregnant periods is lower, the degree intellectual development of infants is higher.
