From The Relationship Between Intellectuals And Doctors To See The Changes Of Social Status Of Doctors

There are many factors which infect the changes of social status of doctors .The thesis wants to make this historical phenomenon clearly from the point of view of the relationship between intellectuals and doctors.In dynasties before the Tang Dynasty including the Tang Dynasty, the relationship between intellectuals and doctors was not very closed .And the social status of doctors was low. With intellectuals' attitudes changing, Confucian Physicians came into being and developed in the Song Dynasty. The development of Confucian Physicians accelerated the relationship between intellectuals and doctors much closer than before. And the social status of doctors was much higher also. And went to crest of a hill of doctors' social status at last in the Jin and Yuan Dynasties. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the rulers looked down upon physic and the development of physic was slow. The social status of doctors came down gradually.
