ObjectiveOn the evidence of the rationale of TCM. By promoting blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction as therapy. The vertebra-basal artery system TIA patients underwent Tongxinluo capsule therapy. TCD was used to detect the hemodynamics index of vertebra-basal artery system. The biochemical indicator are hemorrheologic index and blood fat index. By viewing the improvements to the clinical symptom after treatment. To assessing the clinical therapeutic effect of the Tongxinluo capsule.MethodsThe introduction of random empirical study method. Selecting sixty the vertebra-basal artery system TIA patients in our hospital in the period from 2007, 4Apr to 2008, 4 Apr. The patients were divided into two groups randomly, treatment group (Tongxinluo capsule, 30cases) and control group(Aspirin, 30 cases) and all the patients accepted the treatment for 14 days. We detected the hemodynamics index of vertebra-basal arteries with TCD before and after treatment. Hemorrheologic index was investigated by MDK-100 automatic multi-function blood rheometer before and after treatment. In addition, Blood fat index was investigated by the Olypus AU5400 automatic biochemical analysator.Rseult1 The patients' age, sex and constituent ratio of complicating disease in the both groups. There were no significant difference in between treatment group and controls(p>0.05). There was comparability.2 Blood fat index: After 14 days treatment. TC, TG and LDL-C were decreased obviously than before in both treatment group and controls(p<0.05). The changed level of index did not differ when compared between two groups (p>0.05).3 Fasting blood glucose index: The changed level of index did not differ when compared between two groups before and after treatment(p>0. 05).4 Hemorrheologic index results: There were no significant difference in each item of hemorrheologic index(p>0.05)between treatment group and controls pretherapy. low blood viscosity, High blood viscosity, plasma viscosity, hematocrit and erythrocyte aggregation index were higher than normal in all patients pretherapy. After 14 days treatment, each item above decreased obviously than before in both treatment group and controls(p<0.05). The changed level of index were significant differ when compared between two groups (p<0. 05).5 Hemodynamics index results: There were no significant difference in each item of hemodynamics index(p>0.05)between treatment group and controls pretherapy. Left vertebral artery, right vertebral artery and basal artery were lower than normal in all patients pretherapy. After 14 days treatment, each item above upgraded obviously than before in both treatment group and controls(p<0.05). The changed level of index did not differ when compared between two groups (p>0. 05).Conclusions1 Tongxinluo capsule had the function of accelerating the transit speed of erythrocyte in plasma, increasing blood-supply of tissue and ameliorating microcirculation by degrading blood viscosity, and improving erythrocyte deformability.2 Tongxinluo capsule could obviously elevate the blood flow rate and improve the state of cerebral ischemia.
