Objective Retrospectively analyzing all the cases admitted for operation(clipping or coiling)because of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage(aSAH),to investigate the relationship between the perioperative complications and outcome, and the proper therapy. Methods The primary outcome measure was the Glasgow outcome scale 3 months after discharge. Analyzing sex, age, diameter of aneurysm,Hunt-Hess on admission, Hunt-Hess before operation, rupture or not during operation, and rebleeding, symptomatic cerebral vasospasm, hydrocephalus, infection, and cognitive dysfunction of perioperative complications of all the 99 cases by the Logistic regression model. Results Factors that contributed most to variation in outcome of all the 99 cases,in descending order of importance, were rebleeding(P=0.001),symptomatic cerebral vasospasm(P=0.015),and hydrocephalus(P=0.025).Infection(P=0.983)and cognitive dysfunction(P =0.607)were not.The rate of good outcome was 76.8%,and that of bad outcome was 11.1%.Conclusions By analyzing the relationship between perioperative complications and outcome of aSAH,we can predict the outcome of the aSAH patients, guide the therapy effectly and increase the level of clinical remedy.
