Relationship Between The Expression Of Proliferation And Apoptosis In The Various Pathological Type Of IgA Nephropathy

Objective:To study the relationship between the expression of Ki-67 and TDT of various pathological type with IgA nephropathy .Methods:Apoptotic cells in the vary pathology of IgA nephropathy have been analyzed by the in situ end labeling(ISEL)of TdT from 43 patients ,including type of Glomerular minor lesion (GML)( n=6),type of Mesanggioproliferative glomerulonephyitis (MsPGN)(n=6),type of Endocapillary proliferative glomerulonephritis (EPGN)(n=6),type of Crescentic glomerulonephritis (CGN)(n=5),type of Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis(FSGS)(n=6),type of sclerosing glomerulonephritis(SGN)(n=7) and type of Membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (MPGN)(n=7) .In addition,the cell proliferation-associated nuclear antigen (Ki-67)-positive proliferating glomerular cells were observed by immunohistochemistry techniques in these patients. To study the relationship between the expression of proliferation and apoptosis in the vary pathology of IgA nephropathy.Results:The ratio of proliferating and apoptotic cells was the highest one in patients with MPGN(3.91) as compared to MsPGN and the others. The number of apoptotic glomerular cells was significantly higher in patients with FSGS than those with MPGN as well as the other type of IgAN patients. The extends of increasing apoptotic cells in the glomeruli were different among patients with vary pathology of IgA nephropathy,although all of them showed glomerular hypercellularity.Conclusion:Apoptosis is essential in the resolution of glomerular cellularity together with the remodeling processes.Intense proliferations without increment in apoptosis are the characterisitics of the vary pathology of IgA nephropathy associated with their renal histolocical changes and procnosis.
