Traditional Chinese herbal medicine is a precious heritage of our country. Today, how to set up modern quality standard is a hot spot and foundation of Traditional Chinese medicine industry. Take this into account, in this paper, author apply the modern chromatographic technologies to research the quality control standard and safety of Polygonum multiflorum, and try to establish the modern quality control standard and the method of determine organophosphate pesticide residues in Polygonum multiflorum.At first, determination of organophosphate pesticide residues in Radix Polygoni Multiflori by solid-phase extraction and Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry, The method appeared to sensitive and accurate, and can be used for quality control for drug concerned.And then, uses infrared spectroscopy, second-order derivative spectroscopy and two-dimensional infrared correlation spectroscopy to analyze Radix Polygoni Multiflori. Molecular Spectroscopy can identify Chinese Traditional Drugs directly and fast.Chromatographic fingerprint analysis is a rational approach for quality assessment of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. It is the whole expression of all components and their contents of Chinese herbal medicine. In this thesis, author try to set up the chromatographic fingerprint of by high performance liquid chromatography and determined the quantization of 2,3,5, 4'-Tetra-hedroxystillbene-2-O-D-glucoside to assure the quality of Radix Polygon- um multiflorum.In summary, the methods and standards in this thesis can be used for fast identification, quality control, and safety assurance of Polygonum multiflorum.
