Objective To investigate the effects of GANSU rhubarb polysaccharide on the changes of hepatic lipase and lipoprotein lipase activity in diabetic atherosclerosis rats .Methods Wistar rats were divided into the normal group and modeling group, in rats with diabetic atherosclerosis were randomly divided into the model group (diabetic atherosclerosis group), rhubarb high, medium and low dose group, lipid biochemistry of indicators, hepatic lipase and lipoprotein lipase activity and Preparation of aortic pathology section.Results In the high dose of rhubarb polysaccharides lead blood sugar, total cholesterol, triglycerides, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol decreased , hepatic lipase and lipoprotein lipase activity increased in rats with diabetes atherosclerosis .Conclusion GANSU Rhubarb and rhubarb polysaccharide can decrease blood sugar, and blood fat, increased hepatic lipase and lipoprotein lipase activity, prevent diabetic vascular complications in rats with diabetic atherosclerosis.
