Objectives:To observe the sedative hypnotic drugs and antidepressant drugs on joint use in treatment of oral cancer patients after operation with the sleep disorders,method of treatment in oral cancer patients with sleep disorders.Methods:Chose from December 2007 to April 2008 in our hospital's department of oral and maxillofacial surgery are 33 cases of the oral cancer patients,of which 23 cases were male patients and 10 cases of female patients.These were randomly divided into experimental and control groups,the control group to be oral cancer Patients with conventional treatment and care,then observed the sleep condition,a day before being discharged from the hospital,use the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)to assess the sleep condition of the patient,in the control group from the begining the third day after surgery,after sleep assessment give:trazodone hydrochloride tablets 50 mg,Alprazolam 0.4 mg tablet orally(or stomach injection),once/ day,trazodone hydrochloride is generally administered during day time(16:00)and alprazolam tablets administered at bedtime(22:00),and then observe any improvement in the sleeping condition of the patients and then adjust dosage according to the observed results,if the patient improved significantly,the dosage should be reduced(skipping a day),if no Obvious improvement noted,the dosage may be increased(usually not more than two tablets),if the patient develops daytime sleepiness, dizziness and other symptoms,the administration of the drugs should be suspended And then observe for any improvement in the patient's sleeping condition,in patients to be discharged from hospital the next day, use the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)to assess the patient's sleep condition.Use the SPSS13.0 software package for statistical analysis of data collected by the experiment.Results:The prevalence of sleep disorders in patients with oral cancer was about 94 percent in this experiment.In Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)comparative scores.The sleep condition in the experimental group is better than the control group,there were significant statistical differences(P<0.05).In Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) components of the index comparison,the experimental group in sleep quality,sleep time,duration of sleep,sleep efficiency,the disorder during the day is better than the control group,there were also significant statistical differences(P<0.05).The two groups in sleep disorders in comparison,have no significant statistical difference.Conclusion:The prevalence of sleep disorders in patients with oral cancer was about 94 percent in this experiment.the combination use of Alprazolam and trazodone hydrochloride improve the sleep disorders after surgery...
