A Clinicopathological Study Of Oral Submucous Fibrosis Concomitant With Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Objective: to investigate the relationship between pathological staging of OSF and Oral Squamous cell carcinoma as well as the morphometry of pericancerous Lymphatic Vessels,Microvessel。Methods: 1,A total of thirty osf concomitant with oscc specimens were included.each specimen include six postions :the pericancerous tissue,bilateral ventral tongue, buccal mucosa and soft palate. the pathological staging of there tissues were investigated by HE dye.2,The rate of cervical lymph node metastasis of the thirty specimens was investigated by pathological report.3,The changes of the lumen area,diameter and the numerical densitv of the pericarcinoma lymphatic and microvessel were investigated by immunohistochemical double staining technique andimage analysis system.Results: 1,5 oscc concomitant with the early stage of osf , 8 oscc concomitant with the middle stage of osf , 17 oscc concomitant with the late stage of osf. the oscc concomitant with the late stage of osf have the highest Incidence. in one specimen,the oscc not only Occurred on the late stage lesion of osf but also Occurred on the early,middle stage lesion .23 tongue cancer,5 buccal carcinoma,2 carcinoma of soft palate were investigated.the types of oscc was tongue cancer. 2,1 oscc in T1 stage occur cervical lymph node metastasis.6 oscc in T2 stage occur cervical lymph node metastasis. 2 oscc in T3 stage occur cervical lymph node metastasis.3,The difference of lumen area, diameter and the numerical density of Lymphatic Vessels between the osf concomitant with oscc experimental group and osf experimental group,Normal oral mucosa group was significant (p<0.05) . There was no significant between osf concomitant with oscc experimental group and oscc group (p>0.05) . The difference between osf group and Normal oral mucosa group have no significant statistical difference (p>0.05)4,The difference of lumen area, diameter and the numerical densityof microvessels between osf concomitant with oscc experimental groupand osf experimental group,Normal oral mucosa group was significant(p<0.05) . The difference of density of microvessels between osfconcomitant with oscc experimental group and oscc group was significant(p<0.05) but The difference of lumen area, diameter and the numericaldensity have no significant statistical difference (p>0.05) .Conclusions: 1,OSCC will concomitant with the early,middle and late stage of osf. the oscc concomitant with the late stage of osf have the highest Incidence.a early osf that occur on the ventral tongue have the have the highest Incidence of oscc.2,morphometry of pericancerous Lymphatic Vessels of osf concomitant with oscc tissue have no significant statistical difference. the main factor that lead to the change of pericancerous Lymphatic was Carcinoma.3,morphometry of pericancerous microvessels of osf concomitant with oscc tissue have significant reduce.it will be decreased the ate of cervical lymph node metastasis.it need further investigates.
