Dynamic Changes Of Th1/Th2 Type Cytokines In Perpheral Blood Of Patient With Hepatitis B E Antigen-Positive Chronic Hepatitis B Treated With LDT

Objective:To investigate the dynamic changes of Th1/Th2 type cytokines in serum of patients with hepatitis B e antigen-positive chronic hepatitis B treated with LDT and its clinical significance.Methods: Serum IL-2,IL-4,IL-6,IL-10,TNF-α,IFN-γwere dynamicly measured at 0,4,8,12,24,48 weeks by fluorescence activated cell sorting(FACS) in HBeAg positive chronic hepatitis Bpatients treated with LDT,then changes of Th1/Th2 type cytokines were analyzed between groups of complete response,partial response,non- response,virologic breakthrough and changes in every group at different time point.Results: The level of Th1 type cytokines in complete response group was higher compared with groups of partial response,non- response and virologic breakthrough,but the level of Th2 type cytokines was completely opposite.There were no significant difference between each group.In complete response group the levels of IL-2,TNF-αand IFN-γwere higher than baseline after treated with LDT 12 weeks (P<0.05). In partial response group the level of IFN-γwas higher than baseline after 24 weeks treated with LDT (P<0.05). In non-response group the levels of IL-6 and IL-10 was higher than baseline at 48 weeks treated with LDT (P<0.05).In virologic breakthrough group the level of IL-4 was higher than baseline after treated with LDT 24 weeks (P<0.05),while the level of IL-6 was higher than baseline after treated with LDT 12 weeks (P<0.05).Conclusions: The balance of Th1/Th2 type cytokines plays an important role in the outcome of patients with hepatitis B e antigen-positive chronic hepatitis B treated with LDT. The immune response of patients with hepatitis B is improvement to some extent after LDT therapy.
