Continuous blood glucose monitoring is a very efficient and important way to control blood glucose level of diabetes, and then to reduce or postpone the long-term complications of diabetes mellitus. At present, the minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring system based on transdermal interstitial fluid extraction technologies and glucose concentration testing technologies is offering greater promise in terms of practical and realizable devices for continuous blood glucose monitoring. And compared with other extraction technologies, the transdermal fluid extraction technology based on low-frequency ultrasound has several merits, such as the time of ultrasonic skin permeation is short, and the process is painless; the permeability of ultrasonically permeated skin is high and maintains high for 15 hours; it is easy for ultrasound to combine with other technologies in fluid extraction; and it is easy for ultrasound to combine blood glucose monitoring with transdermal insulin delivery. According to the oversea research information, a minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring system was built, and its accuracy was evaluated through experiments. A miniaturization of the system was designed and some work of it was presented.Main achievements of this thesis include:(1)The importance, current status and development trends of continuous blood glucose monitoring technique and interstitial fluid extracting technique based on low frequency ultrasonic skin permeation were investigated and analyzed fully.(2)Several biological effects of ultrasound were discussed and analyzed. And then the cavitation of ultrasound, the mechanism and influencing factors of low frequency ultrasonic skin permeation were discussed and analyzed in detail.(3)The minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring system which includes low- frequency ultrasonic skin permeation device, vacuum interstitial fluid extraction device and glucose concentration testing device was built.(4)The calibration model and process of minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring were built. And the accuracy of the minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring system was evaluated.(5)Based on the whole design of the miniaturization of the minimally invasive blood glucose monitoring system, the ultrasound transducer, match circuit and driven circuit were designed and made, the stable vacuum device was designed, and the skin impedance testing and controlling device was designed.
