The principal basis weighing the pollution in a water area is the methyl mercury content in the creature and the level people eating food .There is a important connection between the people healthy diet and the methyl mercury which transferring, transforming in a water area, absorbed, accumulated by water creature directly or indirectly. Consequently, the analysis test and the pollution characteristics study for methyl mercury have the tremendous significance.Because of the trace content and the instable character, based on the development status of methyl mercury content testing in the sea food, the improvement upon test methods of methyl mercury content is still a focus problem for discussion around the scientific researchers. The part of experiment in the paper is finished in Dalian sea food quality supervise and inspection center, there are a technical integration and a innovation on the basis of the traditional analysis method, it establishes a method of testing methyl mercury content with our national conditions.Applying the method set up above, determinates the methyl mercury content in the sea food which taken from the Dalian Bay sampling sites. The paper discusses the rule of both methyl mercury transfer, transform in the environment and accumulate, enrichment in the sea food. Then, combining theory and practice, analyses the polluted condition and characteristics of Dalian bay at present, provides some basis for solving the polluted problem and controlling the risk of methyl mercury which brings to the ecosystem and people.The main achievements as follow:(1) As the basic foundation of mercapto-cotton enrichment, proceeds a series of optimizing and improving for the GC analysis condition, then sets up a methyl mercury GC determination method. The recovery result is 94%~106%, and precision results are all below 10%, the method detection limit is 1.906pg that is good for the trace content of methyl mercury. The method set up is satisfying. (2)Through the determination of methyl mercury in various samples and different organs, displays the condition of Dalian bay methyl mercury pollution. The enrichment in sea creature mainly passed by sea food chain, and the enrichment ability is stronger as long as the food chain. At the same time, the methyl mercury content is associated with the species, behaviour, positions and the consistence in the environment and so on.
