Health Education Curriculum Set-up For Clinical Five-year Undergraduates In Military Medical University

Medical education aims to cultivate doctors who are not only expert in the preventation and treatment of diseases, but also of comprehensive conception about health. Health education in military medical university just conforms to the medical education reformation of developing medical talents with wide requirements, and is also required by self-development of military medical education, the cultivation of medical talents for victory of future local high-tech war, and well-prepared health service in future military affairs. The key to improve the quality of health education in military medical university is to arrange the health education curriculum scientifically.The advantages and disadvantages of present health education curriculum had been analyzed based on field study and lots of literatures on health education curriculum in medical universities worldwide and in the three military medial universities in China. The contents of health education curriculum had been adjusted and organized under the guidance of the results from Questionaire investigation, Experts Consultation and Ridit analysis. As a result, we set up a new system of health education curriculum for military medical university. According to the nature, purpose and function of heath education curriculum, a new health education curriculum program containing 5 curriculum content modules was formed for military medical university. Additionally, the construction of health education was found closely associated with the construction of subjects of health education in medical universities. Through optimizing the health education curriculum in military medical university, we aim to improve the students'ability to conduct health education, to help soldiers develop healthy behavior, last but most important, to promote combat capacity.
