Effects Of Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granule On Orexin-R Of Diet-induced Obesity Resistant Rats

Objective:The research was to investigate characteristics of Diet-induced Obesity Resistant(DIOR) rats in their growth;to observe the effects of Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granules on body weight,daily food intake,serum index of diet-iduced obesity resistant rats,as well as the mRNA expression of orexin receptors in liver for explaining its pontential mechanism,By this method,diet-induced obesity resisitant individual could reduce their own defects and come to perfection.Methods:108 Sprague-Dwaley rats,were randomly divided into chow fed control group(n=18) and high-fat(HF) diet group(n=90),and given either chow or high-fat diet for 4 weeks.Then Diet-induced Obesity resistant(DIOR) rats were selected from the HF diet group according to the final body weight,these DIOR rats were randomly divided into the model group,Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granules group and Jian Wei Xiao Shi Pian group according to body weight,and drugs were given respectively for 4 weeks.The mRNA expression levels of orexin receptors in liver, daily food intake,weekly body weight,blood lipid,ALT,AST levels,were measured and compared.Results:1 Daily food intake and weekly body weight of Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granules group rats ascended slowly,but these did not reach statistical significance.2 Serum ALT and AST levels were significantly higher in Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granules group than the model group,but there was no significant difference between the high dose treatment and the low dose treatment.3 The mRNA expression levels of orexin receptors in liver of Jian Pi Zeng Shi Granules group were significantly higher than that in the model group.Conclusions: Daily food intake,body weght of DIOR rats increased slightly after drugs intervention,as well as the serum index.The drugs could make some appetite genes'function changed in DIOR rat to prevent its appetite and body weight decreasing and insure them grow up well.
