Research objectiveThis research draws up the adoption review sexually transmitted disease example's analysis to combine a modern mathematical statistics method, which tries to find the main elementary syndrome in different stages, for disicussing the possible tendency in aetiology and pathogenesis, and further instructing clinically。Research method3449 patients aged 50 years and older who were hospitalized for primary diagnose of hip fractures in hospitals.Completed data was obtained retrospectively from the hospital medical records.Clinical parameters such as the male and ratio, hospital length of stay, inpatient costs,Mortality and the constitutions of the inpatient costs were analyzed with multiple statistics methods and rgressions..Research resultsOver the 10-year study period the number of hospitalizations for hip fractures increased with a curve model.Male and female ratio was about 1: 1.95.Average age was 76.32±9.52 years old.Average hospital length of stay was about 23.59±13.48 days with no significant difference between the male and female, the different years, and different diagnoses. The number of hospitalizations went to the top at the age of 70 to 79 years old(38.45%), and then was the age of 80-89 years old(33.08%).Femoral neck fractures and intertrochanteric fractures occur with about the same frequency.Femoral neck fractures was significant more than that of intertrochanteric fractures in the patients aged 80 years and older, and less than that of intertrochanteric fractures aged 50 to 79 years old.Average inpatient costs is about 23520.6 ±17003.83 yuan(RMB),femoral neck fractures is about 25089.68±17621.95 yuan(RMB)and intertrochanteric fracture is 21443.92±15919.18 yuan(RMB). The constitution of the inpatient costs include 52%treatment costs(include implants, materials used in the theatre and routinely care of the wound),25% pharmacy intervention,6%operation,5%ward expenditure,5%radiology and physical investigation, and 4%chemistry test. The inpatient cost went to a peak at the age of 60-69 years and were significantly correlated with the hospital length of stay. The cost increased every year in the past 10 years by 6.18%.In 1856 cases of patients, total mortality rate is 3.02%, postoperative mortality is 2.71%,non-operative mortality was 4.79%,4.45% mortality in male patients, female patients with mortality rate is 2.16%.ConclusionsThese results emphasize the growing economic impact arising from the inpatient treatment osteoporotic hip fractures, most of which relate to treatment cost(include implants, materials used in the theatre and routinely care of the wound),and pharmacy intervention. And it is always correlated to length of hospital stay.
