A Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Combined With Auricular-plaster Therapy On Primary Osteoporosis Pain

Objective:To observe the effects of Acupuncture and Auricular-plaster therapy on primary osteoporosis(pop) pain.Methods:Sixty cases of POP were randomly divided into treatment group(n=30) and control group(n=30).The treatment group were treated by Acupuncture and Auricular-plaster at corresponding points,Acupuncture point selection:Guanyuan,Zusanli,Pishu,Shenshu,Mingmen,Taixi,Weizhong, Auricular-plaster was carried out after acupuncture each time,Ear acupoint selection:Shenmen,endocrine,pillow,liver,spleen,kidney,adrenal gland,heart,inside the genitals,three times a week.And the control group were given Xianling Gubao capsule 3 times a day for each two,without acupuncture treatment.The treatment course was one month in both groups.All the patients were assessed by use of the Symptoms of osteoporosis quantitative grading score and Determination of the clinical pain score visual analogue scale method(VAS) respectively before and after treatment.The baseline information(including sex,age,course of disease,Symptoms of osteoporosis quantitative grading score and VAS) of the two groups was analyzed by chi-square test and T test.Symptoms of osteoporosis quantitative grading score and VAS scores which were gotten before and after treatment were analyzed by paired-samples T test,and the mean of two groups by independent-sample T test.Results:The baseline information of the two groups had no significant difference by chi-square test and T-test(P＞0.05).The scores of Symptoms of osteoporosis quantitative grading of both groups were found to decrease after one month of treatment,with a significant difference compared to that of treatment before(P＜0.01).The scores of VAS of both groups were found to decrease after treatment,with a significant difference compared with that of treatment before(P＜0.01).The improvement rate of Symptoms of osteoporosis quantitative grading score of treatment group was higher than control group,and the scores of visual analogous scale(VAS) of treatment group decreased more than that of control group,and these differences were significant(P＜0.05).Effects of the two groups were significantly different(P＜0.05).Treatment group no significant adverse reactions and complications.Two cases in the control group after medication in patients with mild symptoms of nausea,no other adverse reactions.Conclusion:The Acupuncture and Ear pressure therapy can improve the life quality and relieve the pain of POP patients.Compared with Xianling Gubao capsule,it has a more obvious effect.Because of minor specimen and shortage of long-term observation,further research is needed to do.
