This disease was first reported by Gluser in 1972.Cough variant asthma can happen throughout the year,especially in spring and winter.It can also occur at any age,withhe high incidence in child.In recent years,because of air pollution and changes in diet and other factors,the incidence showed an upward trend year after year.The cause of CVA are infections,genetic,environmental, as well as low levels of immunization and so on,related to the pathogenesis has not yet entirely clear.The asthma group of Respiratory Diseases Section of Chinese Medical Association established "guideline of diagnosis and treatment for cough(drafted plan)",which is currently the most authoritative diagnostic criteria for CVA.Regarding the treatment of the drugs,we frequently used bronchodilator drugs,glucocorticoid,leukotriene receptor antagonist,et.However,due to defects that were Continuously found in its trestment,result in its clinical limitation.On the other hand,the awareness and research of CVA is still at the embryonic stage in Traditional Chinese Medicine.Therefore,to find out a more safe effective menthod of treatment in controlling airway inflammation and reducing airway hyperresponsiveness,is a major task.ObjectiveTo observe the influence that Qufeng Jiejing decoction makes to cough variant asthma sufferers,and its effect on indicators of pulmonary function and airway reactivity,and to explore its principles.MethodsWe got 44 cases in pursuance of the absorbing standard which had been decided,randomly divid into two groups,record Changes in indicators, establish a database,use SPSS 13.0 software to do statistical analysis in differences between groups and intra-group.Results1.Symptomatic efficient,the general effective rate and the curative rate of treatment group are 95.45%,77.27%,control group 86.36%,31.82%.There is significances in statistics between two groups of the curative rate and the general effective rate(P＜0.05).2.Both of the groups patients after treatment felt better than before,the difference is significances in statistics(P＜0.05),especially in cough and Pharyngeal itch(P＜0.01),treatment group is better than control group(P＜0.05).3.There was not different significantly in groups comparisons and intra -group comparisons of large airway indicators(P＞0.05).4.There were significances in statistics in groups comparisons and intra -group comparisons of small airway indicators(P＜0.05).5.Both of the groups patients are positive in bronchial provocation test, but there are obvious differences in groups between and inter-group between of PD₂₀FEV₁(P＜0.05).ConclusionIt is effective to treat the cough variant asthma sufferers with qufeng jiejing decoction.Treatment group is better in total efficient,compared with control group.It can effectively and rapidly relief symptoms in cough variant asthma sufferers,especially in cough and Pharyngeal itch symptoms,improve the quality of life effectively;it can also do better in reduce airway hyperresponsiveness and improve airway obstruction,than control group.This study helps the selection of treatment method,and extraction of efficacious components.
