Clinical Features And Neuro Mageing Analysis Of Syphilitic Inflammatory Cerebral Artery Infarction And Atherosclerotic Cerebral Infarction

Objective: To analysis and comparison clinical features,laboratory examination and imaging features of syphilitic inflammatory cerebral artery infarction and atherosclerotic cerebral.Methods: Retrospective analysis and comparison of 20 cases of Syphilitic inflammatory cerebral artery infarction (Syphilitic cerebral arteritis Group)and 80 cases of atherosclerosis cerebral infarction (Atherosclerosis group) in patients with Clinical manifestations, laboratory tests, imaging characteristics.Results: Both groups especially syphilitic cerebral arteritis group with men in the majority. In Syphilitic cerebral arteritis, male : female=9 :1, while in atherosclerosis group male : female=4 :1. The age of syphilitic cerebral arteritis group(27～67, average age 50.1±10.9 ) lighter than atherosclerosis group (31～80 , average age 61.5±10.9).65 patients(81.2%)of atherosclerosis group were complicated with hypertension, 23 patients(28.8%) were complicated with diabetes mellitus but only 3 cases of syphilitic cerebral arteritis Group with hypertension.The syphilitic cerebral arteritis group'first symptom were dizziness(45%),headache(20%),limb asthenia(30%)while in atherosclerosis group were limb asthenia(75%),28 were alalia(35%). CT or MRI showed Syphilitic cerebral arteritis Group detected lesions major in lobe(45.0%) and in basal ganglia(40.0%)while atherosclerosis group detected lesions major in basal ganglia(67.5% ), secondly in lobe(28.75%).5 patients of syphilitic cerebral arteritis group were tested by DSA, 4 patients(80%) were detected narrow or obstruction in middle cerebral artery and 3(60%)in internal carotid artery while atherosclerosis group were detected narrow or obstruction major in internal carotid artery(35%), secondly were invertebrobasilar artery (22.5%)and thirdly middle cerebral artery(15%).16 cases of syphilitic cerebral arteritis group have data integrity of Cerebrospinal fluid regularand biochemistry test. 12 cases'Cerebrospinal fluid Protein(75%)and 11 cases'Cerebrospinal fluid Cells (68.8%)beyond the normal range Among 16 cases.Conclusion : Clinical manifestations and imaging features of syphilitic inflammatory cerebral artery infarction and atherosclerotic cerebral infarction have their own characteristics.The diagnosis of these diseases should be combined with clinical manifestations,imaging examinations,cantanitest,laboratory examination of cerebrospinal fluid imaging examinations to a comprehensive analysis.
