Background and Aims: in west countries, Adenocarcinoma in the distal part of esophagus is increasing in incidence, as the precancerous lesion of esophageal adenocarcinoma, Barrett's esophagus (BE) should to be think highly of. CDX2 is nuclearn factor in developing of enteric epithelium,which has higher sensitivity and conduces to diagnose early intestinal metaplasia. On the orther hand,it has the worth to diagnose Barrett's esophagus early. Ki67 is used to judgement the cell's multiplication activity. The clinical dates indicated that the proliferation index of Ki67 is association with tumor's differentiation extent,infiltration, aversion and progosis. It existes contrast in different of intestinal metaplasia.At the present, it studies less about CDX2 and Ki-67 in Barrett's esophagus's pathology category.In this article Iwill make a study about the expression of CDX2 and Ki-67 in different pathology category and transforms of the expression of CDX2, Ki-67 inBarrett's esophagus before and after healing to explore internal relationship between them.Methods: 60 patients with Barrett's esophagus werediagnosed by endoscopy and biopsy. Before treated, they would be made routine HE coloretur ,in order to compare the expression of CDX2, Ki-67 in different pathology category of Barrett's esophagus. And then 47 patients were randomly divided into two groups.: group A(Omeprazole 20mg,bid,po); group B(argon plasma coagulation andOmeprazole 20mg, bid, po). Every group would be treated for three months. we would collected specimens of esophageal tissuel and observe clinical effect before treated and After treated for 1-month, 3- month. Expression of CDX2 and Ki-67 in Barrett esophagus were investigated by immunohistochemistry and then manke the differences among three groups.Results: In different pathology category of Barrett's esophagus, the expression of CDX2 and Ki-67 was significantly ( P<0.05 ) . After treating, There were still significant differences between A and B(P<0.05)Barrett's esophagus was eliminated in 80.0% patients of groupB,which was significantly difference compare to group A,(P<0.01). There were significant differences in expression of CDX2and Ki-67 in group B compare to group A(P<0.01).Conclusions: Taking otally Omeprazole simply will not eliminated the mucous of Barrett's esophagus and change the expression of CDX2and Ki-67. But Argon plasma coagulation combined with Omeprazole is an effective,safe and reliability therapy against Barrett'sesophagus,and both CDX2 and Ki-67 can be degraded.
