| Objective: With the development of social information, dry eye has been a common ophthalmic disease, which disturbs people's work,study and life。Professor Qinxingrui says the main pathogenesis is liver and kidney yin-asthenia, body fluid decreased by dryness and hot, which makes the eyes feel dry, according to the theory, She created the TCM method of Smooth Eye Grains to treat dry eye。Through observation on eighty patients and experiment on rats, the theme tries to testify the effects of the TCM method of Smooth Eye Grains, and explains the work pattern of Smooth Eye Grains.Methods: After the building of clinical standard, eighty patients are chosen and randomly divided into two groups: treat group and contrast group. Treat the first group with the TCM method of Smooth Eye Grains , treat the other group with Ciclosporin eye drops. Finish the treatment, compare the curative effects: the clinical curative rates, the body feature in the TCM, the main symptom, the tongue, tongue coating, the pulse。In animal studies, 40 wistar rats are randomly divided into four groups: the contrast, the compare model, the treat, the compare treat, except the first group, the others all became short-term model of dry eye with the method of establishing a rabbit short-term dry eye model through hampering blink and TB color, 24 hours later, forcing the treat group and the compare treat group to take medicine. Animals were sacrificed after 10 days, the eyelids were taken out for pathological checking and were measured the contents of goblet cell (GC) in eyelids by using computer image analysis system。Results: 1 With the standard of clinical curative effects: in treat group, 12 were cured, 25 had effects, 8 had no effects, the rate of clinical cured was 26.67%, the total effective rate was 82.22%; in the contrast group, 5 were cured, 15 had effects, 15 had no effects, the rate of clinical cured was 14.28%, the total effective rate was 57.14%. There are obvious difference between the two groups (P<0.05).②With the standard of curative effects in the TCM: in treat group, 26 were cured, 9 had obvious effects, 7 had effects, 3 had no effects, the rate of clinical cured was 57.78%, the total effective rate was 93.33%; in compare treat group, 13 were cured, 7had obvious effects, 7 had effects, 8 had no effects, the rate of clinical cured was 37.14%, the total effective rate was 77.14%. There are great difference between the two groups (P<0.05).③Seen the disappear rate of usual symptom and the total effective rate, Compare the treat group with the contrast group, the treat group has obvious advantage in treat conjunctiva congestion, dry, foreign body sensation, asthenopia, vision inadequacy. The treat group has also obvious advantage in treat hypersensitiveness with smog, blink excessive. But there are no significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05). The data showed that, Smooth Eye Grains can improve the clinical symptom of dry eye patients, release their pain.④The cases in two groups had obvious improvement on their tongue coating and pulse, but no apparent difference with their tongue.⑤The observation of external eye morphology and the grade shows: At the 2nd day expect the contrast group ,the other three groups have no significant difference (P>0.05), but they are all higher than the contrast group, and have great difference (P<0.05);at the 5th day, the grade of the treat group, the compare treat group are lower than model group ,the grade of the two group are higher than the contrast group ,and have great difference (P<0.05) , the treat group is lower than the compare treat group, but have no great difference (P>0.05),at the 9th day, the grade of the treat group, the compare treat group are lower than model group ,and have great difference (P<0.05), the grade of the three group are higher than the contrast group ,and have great difference(P<0.05),and there are significant difference between the grade of the treat group and the Compare treat group (P<0.05).⑥the data of lacrimal secretion show: At the 2nd day, expect the contrast group, the other three groups have no significant difference (P>0.05), but they are all longer than the contrast group, and have great difference (P<0.05) , at the 9th day, the length of the treat group, the compare treat group are longer than model group ,and have great difference (P<0.05), the length of the two group are longer than the contrast group ,and have no great difference (P>0.05), and there are no significant difference between the length of the treat group and the compare treat group (P>0.05).⑦The contents of goblet cell (GC) in eyelids shows: The treat group, the compare treat group are lower than model group (P<0.05), but higher than contrast group, there have no great difference among them (P>0.05). Compare the treat group with the compare treat group, there are great difference (P<0.05).Conclusion:①Smooth Eye Grains has showed obvious treatment to dry eye,it can improve the clinical symptom of dry eye patients, release their pain. The side effect on heart,liver,kidney,blood system and other important organs were not found,and no one were poisoned.②Smooth Eye Grains can release inflammation reaction, improve the formation of gland and goblet cell (GC) in eyelids to raise tear-film stabilization。...
