Aim To analyze the frequently attacked season, gender, anaphylactogen of eczema. In those unspecified types of eczema, the first onset site of rash, basic diseases and family history are discussed. Methods Sixty-nine eczema patients were collected from our discharge notes, who were admitted into our hospital as eczema from March 1,2003 to December 31,2008. Sixty-nine patients were divided into two groups by the age as young group(age<45y) and elder group(age>=45y).We analyzed the composition of frequently attacked season, gender and anaphylactogen.Ruling out the special types of eczema,we record and analyzed these index of rest patients:the first onset site of rash, basic diseases and family history. As to statistic methods,we used SPSS 16.0 and EXCEL software. Results The most frequently attacked season was spring. In the unspecified types of eczema patients, age had nothing to do with the incidence of the season.Amongst eczema patients, food allergy to shellfish, fish and shrimp(19%) constituted the majority. There was no difference in gender composition between the two age groups. Among those unspecified eczema patients, the most frequently attacked site as first onset site was the limbs(57%),followed by trunk(21%),head and neck(12%),the whole body(10%).We found our patients also suffered other diseases:disease of digestive system in 13 patients(47%),disease of genital system in 6(21%),disease of endocrine system in 5(18%),chronic infection of other systems in 4(14%).In all the inpatients, positive family history is rare(4.7%).Conclusions We found the frequently attacked season of the disease was spring. In the unspecified types of eczema patients, age had nothing to do with the incidence of the season.Among eczema patients, food allergy to shellfish, fish and shrimp constituted the majority.Among those unspecified eczema patients, the most frequently attacked site as first onset site is the limbs, followed by trunk, head and neck, the whole body. The most common concomitant basic disease was disease of digestive system, followed by disease of genital system, disease of endocrine system, chronic infection of other systems. In all the inpatients, positive family history is rare.
