Change Of FMRI-BOLD And Serum Levels Of Gastrin After Acupuncture "Zusanli" (ST36)

Aim:To observe the relationship between serum levels of gastrin and fMRI-BOLD scan results from acupuncture of ZusanliMethods:62 healthy adult(age 25 35 years old) medium size male volunteers were selected.Volunteers were randomly divided into experimental group(46) and control group(16).Acupuncture right Zusanli head when the fMRI-BOLD scan,fMRI-BOLD in the scanning process,the experimental group at acupuncture Zusanli stimulus when each will be designed to "the gneration of needling sesations" status,while the control group at to avoid stimulating achieve " the gneration of needling sesations " state.Each volunteer at Zusanli acupuncture before and acupuncture Zusanli taken after the completion of blood,serum gastrin(gastrin) concentration.Results:"Zusanli"(ST 36) acupuncture at acupoint " the gneration of needling sesations " in the experimental group,fMRI-BOLD show belong to the brain limbic system temporal lobe,hippocampus, cingulate gyrus,hypothalamus,insula lobe in the brain there is a corresponding functional areas have different levels of excited stove back at both the central cluster can be seen in small foci excited;in the control group,fMRI-BOLD shows that the brain can be scattered at small punctate foci excited,bilateral post-central point within the sheet can be seen in small foci excited.While the experimental group,serum gastrin level of the volunteers before and after acupuncture compared with significantly decreased meaningful statistical analysis(P＜0.05);control group,serum gastrin level of the volunteers before and after acupuncture compared with no or reduced slightly higher meaningless statistical analysis (P＜0.05).Conclusion:Acupuncture "Zusanli"(ST36) right at the time of the introduction - hub - news-axis can be summed up as follows:to stimulate the adoption of a specific pathway,upload it to the brain limbic system specific functions excited nuclei,and then through the neurohumoral mechanism of the serum gastrin level in order to regulate the physiological functions of target organs.
