Objective:To observe the cardiac structure and function in the patients with the DDD pacemaker of search AV extension in 12 months after implantation.Methods:Select 35 patients with the DDD pacemaker of the search AV extension and 36 patients with the DDD pacemaker without the search AV extension were implanted in our hospital,randomly assigned to search AV group and none search AV group.All the patients were measured left ventricular end-systolic dimension(LVESD),left ventricular end-diastolic dimension(LVEDD),left ventricular ejection fraction LVEF, left ventricular fiber shortening(FS)and ventricular pacing rate before implantation and after follow-up 12 months.Then contract the ventricular pacing rate,LVESD,LVEDD,LVEF and FS to observe the effects of cardiac structure and function in two groups.Results:The parameters before the implantation has no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).The search AV group has less ventricular pacing rate than the none search AV group(P<0.01).The parameters such as LVESD,LVEDD,LVEF and FS in search AV group has no change between before and after 12 months' follow-up(P>0.05).The LVEDD in none search AV group has increased significantly 12 months after implantation (P<0.01).12 months after implantation this parameters has also increased than search AV group(LVEDD P<0.01).Conclusion:The DDD pacemaker of search AV extension can prevent the changes in cardiac structure,there is no difference with search AV group and none search AV group in cardiac function.
