ObjectiveIn order to evaluate the association between serum high sensitivity C reactive protein, lipoprotein(a),high densitv lipoprotein and its subclasses and coronary heart disease(CHD),providing some evidences for establishing the channel between the risk factors and coronary heart disease(CHD).Methods(1) In the present investigation,we studied a total of 564 subjects undergoing coronary angiography. Many of these subjects had a variety of underlying diseases, including metabolic disorders, renal diseases, and hypertension. We focused our attention on the patients with hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM),and coronary heart disease(CHD),and conducted a comparative study of the patients of plasma concentrations of lipoprotein(a).(2) Among these 564 patients above,154 patients were evaluated for serum high sensitivity C reactive protein.(3) HDL subfractions were isolated by PEG-20000 precipitation method from these patients(n=210).Results(1) The group with acute myocardial infarction had significantly higher concentrations of high sensitivity C reactive protein(hsCRP) and Lipoprotein(Lp) (a),lower concentrations of HDL3.(2) There were significant positive correlations between hsCRP levels and the most stenotic degree of the coronary artery(R=0.1691,P<0.05).There were significant negative correlations between the most stenotic degree of the coronary artery and HDL,also between the most stenotic degree of the coronary artery and HDL3. (3) The patients with longer history or higher degree of hypertension were found to have elevated plasma levels of hsCRP.The patients with hypertension have higher plasma levels of HDL2,and lower plasma levels of HDL3.(4) The diabetics have lower plasma levels of HDL3.(5) A significant association was noticed between hsCRP and TG(R=0.2399, P=0.004);also between hsCRP and age(R=0.1813,P=0.024).The plasma Lp(a) level was correlated positively with TC(r=0.1918,P<0.0001) and LDL(r =0.1692,P<0.0001).Conclusion(1) Elevated hsCRP,Lp(a) levels and decreased HDL3 levels account,in part, for the tendency of peoples to develop coronary heart disease (CHD).(2) Elevated TG may account,by the way of inflammatory reaction, for the tendency of people to develop coronary heart disease(CHD). (3)Inflammatory reaction may one of the way that hypertension associate with coronary heart disease.
