Analysis Of The Valuation Of Rapid Prototype In The Operative Of Complicated Congenital Scoliosis

Objective:To investigate the significance of rapid prototype technology in the treatment of complicated congenital scoliosis.Methods:CT scanned data set of 19 patients with spinal deformity were collected,by which three dimensional reconstruction and rapid prototype were achieved for clinical treatment, including preoperative appraisal of spinal deformity, surgery program, and operation design.Results:There was almost no difference between the abnormalities observed during the operation and the preoperative display of the spinal models of the 19 patients, which were produced by rapid prototype technique. Spinal orthopedic surgery and osteotomy of the 19 patients were completed on spine models according to preoperative plan, and the pre-bending of the orthopedic fixation rod was accomplished according to the angle of the models after osteotomy or orthopedy.The correction and internal fixation were satisfying, without permanent neurologic and vascular damage.The correction results were satisfying, and the position of the pedicle screw was accurately evaluated by postoperative radiograph. Conclusion:Rapid prototyping technology can accurately and directly reflect the situation of spinal deformity, and is helpful for surgical planning.
