【Objective】We used the modifed composite valve dacron graft in acute Aortric Dissection patients who needed Bentall procedure to show the contribution to post-operative bleeding after Bentall Procedure【Methods】Analyzed 50 acute aortic dissection patients who went through Bentall operation from Jun 2005 to Dec 2008 respectively , 15 out of them used the modifed composite valve dacron graft(the first group),remains used the tradition modifed composite valve dacron graft(the second group). To show the contribution in prevention of post-operative bleeding after Bentall procedure of modifed composite valve dacron graft through comparing the anastomosis time of the proximate anastomotic stoma, the hemostasis time , the post-operative bleeding and the the amount of blood transfusion.【Results】The post-operative bleeding and the amount of blood transfusion was decreased(P<0.05);The anastomosis time of the proximate anastomotic stoma was a little longer in the first group than in the second group(P<0.05);But the hemostasis time was significantly reduced in the first group(P<0.05).【Conclusions】In the Bentall procedure of the acute aortic dissection, the modified composite valve dacron graft could significantly reduce the hemostasis time, decrease the post-operative bleeding and the amount of blood transfusion. It raised the success rate of Bentall procedure for it reduced the complications correlated to multiply blood transfusion.
