The Outcomes Of Vertebroplasty In The Treatment Of Thoraciolumbar Vertebral Fractures And Analysis Of Influencing Factors

Objective: To observe the outcome of vertebroplasty and to determine the factors correlating with the prognosis.Methods: A retrospective study of patients having experienced vertebroplasty,before and after surgery conditions and the lower waist pain were scored by VAS scoring and JOA scoring system respectively. Measure and calculate using vernier caliper the recovery degree of orthotropia X-Ray of vertebral body before and after surgery,anterior border of vertebral body after surgery,center of vertebral body after surgery. Measure and calculate the recovery of Cobb angle of the wounded vertebrates using conimeter. Related factors were screened through single and multiple factors analysis and multiple linear regression equation were set.Results: The outcome of the vertebroplasty surgery was correlated with the position of the wounded vertebrates,the course of the disease,the characteristics of the used surgery instruments and whether proceeding inner fixation or not. L3-5 wounded vertebrates'outcomes are better than T1-10's. Disease course less than 3 months gets a better outcome than 3~6 months'. Sky instruments are better than Kyphon ones. Without an inner fixation is better than with one. The multiple linear regression equation after surgery is Y=0.61238-0.18192 X1-0.15714 X2-0.18151 X3.Conclusion: Vertebroplasty is an effective and promising method treating various thoraciolumbar vertebral fractures and its outcome is correlated with the position of the wounded vertebrates,the course of the disease,the characteristics of the used surgery instruments, in which Sky products are suggested in this experiment, and whether proceeding inner fixation or not. What's more, appropriate inner fixation and early diagnosis and treatment of bone fracture are highlighted in vertebroplasty.
