Asthenopia After Laser In Situ Keratomileusis And Clinical Effects Of Augentropfen Stulln Mono Eye Drops On Asthenopia After LASIK

Purpose:To observe the changes of asthenopia and accomodation after laser in situ keratomileusis(LASIK);And to evaluate the clinical effects of Augentropfen Stulln Mono Eye Drops on asthenopia as well as accomodation after LASIK.Methods:A total of 40 myopic patients(80 eyes),who were treated by LASIK in Eye center of the 2nd affiliated hospital,medical college of Zhejiang University,were randomly divided into two groups:control group(20 patients) and treatment group(20 patients). The control group were given conventional postperative medications,including Flurometholone Eye Drops,Levofloxacin Eye Drops and Sodium Hyaluronate Eye Drops.In addition to conventional postperative medications,the treatment group were plus with Augentropfen Stulln Mono Eye Drops.The eye drops were given in the first four weeks after surgery.The inspection items were asthenopia score and the accommodation functions,including simple/both eye amplitude of accommodation,lag of accommodation,and positive/negative relative accommodation,which were measured four times(before surgery,7th day after surgery,14th day after surgery,and 28th day after surgery).The data were analyzed by DPS v3.01 software.Results:1.The asthenopia of all patients significantly aggravated during the first week after LASIK(P≤0.01),and significantly relieved during the fourth week after LASIK(P＜0.01).2.The control group's asthenopia scores during the first week after LASIK,the second week after LASIK and the fourth week after LASIK were respectively 6.53±2.38,4.65±1.50,2.29±0.92,and the treatment group's were respectively 5.89±1.50,4.18±1.13,1.82±0.64.There were no significant differences.3.The simple/both eye amplitude of accommodation,lag of accommodation,and positive relative accommodation of both groups descended at the 7th day after LASIK(P＞0.05) while increased at the 28th day after LASIK(P＞0.05).4.Left eye amplitude of accommodation's changes between preoperation and postoperative 28th day,both eye amplitude of accommodation's changes between preoperation and postoperative 28th day,and positive relative accommodation' s changes between preoperation and postoperative 28th day were bigger in the treatment group than in the control group,which were significantly different.Conclusions:1.Asthenopia aggravated during the first week after LASIK,and recovered gradually,and even better during the fourth week after LASIK than preoperation.2.Augentropfen Stulln Mono Eye Drops improved the patients' accommodative functions.3.More researches are needed to prove the positive effects of Augentropfen Stulln Mono Eye Drops in the patients with asthenopia.
