The Clinical Investigation Of Crystalline Lens Opacity After Vitrectomy

Objective To investigate influenced factors of crystalline lens opacity after vitrectomy.Methods Applying to non-random and non-blind methods,we pursuited and followed up a total of 52 eyes(52 patients) in The first affiliate hospital of Zhejiang University and The Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital during 2007.9-2008.9.Standard pars plana vitrectomies had been applied to all cases,which silicon oil,C₃F₈ and BSS was used as intraocular tamponades.following up six months at least,according to patients' ages, we divided patients into two groups(A:≥50Y and B:<50Y ).Recording the changes of sight and intraocular pressures before and after surgery. according to types and positions of crystalline lens opacity,crystalline lens opacities are grouped as cortex,neucleus and posterior capsular.Results Following up(6.84±0.2) months,38 eyes are found develop crystalline lens opacities,The date of developing crystalline lens opacities after vitrectomy surgery is average(5.4±0.5) months.Over fifty years old,The incidence of crystalline lens opacities after vitrectomy is 92.0%.Under fifty years old, the incidence of crystalline lens opacities is 55.6%(x²=3.87,P< 0.05).The incidence of crystalline lens opacities is 85.3%by silicon oil tampnode. It is 58.3%by C₃F₈ and it is 33.3%by BSS.The incidence of crystalline lens opacities is obvious different(x²=32.58,P< 0.05) in different tampnodes.The incidence of crystalline lens opacities in the group of silicone oil is greater than the other.Conclusion The incidence of complicated cataract after vitrectomy is influenced by age.The incidence is even higher in the group of over fifties years old than under fifties years old.There are different incidences of complicated cataract in different intraocular tamponades,and the incidence of complicated cataract in silicone oil tamponade is highest in different intraocular tamponades.
