ObjectiveInlay is a common technique in restoring dental defect in clinical work. So both clinically and basically, the bonding technique was paid more attention to. In this study, the microleakage of bonding different inlays with IDS and DDS techniques was evaluated, to provide reference for adopting new bonding technique in clinical work.MethodsSelecting 48 newly extracted mandibular third molars and dividing them into 6 groups randomly. MO inlay cavity was made. Dentin sealing was carried out immediately after cavity making for the first three groups. The inlays were fabricated with different materials (composite resin, metal, porcelain). In the first three groups, the inlays were bonded with IDS technique, the last three groups with DDS technique. All the specimen were thermocycled in 37℃water, the microleakage specimen were made, the microleakage was measured and analyzed statisticallyResultsAfter statistically analyzing, the microleakage of the first three groups was different from the corresponding the last three groups. Suggesting that the miceoleakage of IDS groups is smaller than DDS groups.ConclusionsNo matter what material was used in making inlays, microleakage was found after bonding with IDS technique and DDS technique. But the microleakage of IDS groups is smaller than DDS groups.
