Comparative Study On The Therapeutic Efficacy Of Mesh Plug & Patch And Prolene Hernia System, PHS, In The Inguinal Herniorrhaphy

Objective:To compare and investgate the therapeutic efficacy of Gilbert,mesh plug﹠patch and prolene hernia system,PHS, to find their individual usage , analysed the collection of the case combined with documents.Methods:Collected cases of inguinal hernia in Nanchang University of Medicine of the First Affiliated Hospital from June 2006 to January 2008.to fill in unified tabie by thecollection of the case ,To take a retrospective analysis, and record the length of operation,the length of stay,the complication in the near future after operation,such as scrotal edema,infection of incisional wound, ecchymoma ,abdominal distension,cut pain and so on.Results:the length of operation is 36±5.6 min,the length of stay is 3.5±0.8days ,1 case scrotal edema,1 case infection of incisional wound ,2 case urinary retention In mesh plug﹠patch group ,the length of operation is 35±6.0min,the length of stay is 3.3±0.9 days ,2 case scrotal edema, 1 case infection of incisional wound, 1 case urinary retention In PHS group ,no recurrence in both group.the length of operation,the length of stay,the incidence of complication in the near future after operation, recurrence in both group have no significant devation (P> 0.05).Conclusions:mesh plug﹠patch and PHS both have the grace of the short length of operation,the short length of stay,the few complication ,the low recurrence rate,we can choose individual hernia restore Program to improve the effect of operation...
