Objective:To explore the expression and the value of HIF-1a, ET-1 in judgement of the prognosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs).Methods:76 GISTs was grouped histologically as:very low risk and low risk;moderate risk;high risk.Immunohistochemical SP was used to investigate HIF-1a and ET-1 expression.Results:There was positive correlation between the expression of HIF-1a and ET-1(P<0.05).The positive expression rates of HIF-1a,ET-1 were 73.68%(50/76),65.79%(50/76) respectively,which were connected with histologicial grade,tumor diameter,infiltration and metabasis,nuclear division rating of GISTs(p<0.05),but had no relationship with patients'age,gender,initial occurring position of the tumor(P>0.05).There are statistical difference of the expression of HIF-1a and ET-1 in following groups:among the three classes of very low-risk and low-risk,middle-risk,high-risk,bewteen the diameter<2cm and>5cm(P<0.05),The more malignant level and larger diameter the more highly positive expression rates(P<0.05).The positive expression in the groups with infiltration and metastasis and nuclear division≥5/50HP is significantly higher than the groups without infiltration and metastasis and nuclear division<5/50HP(P<0.05). Conclusion:The expression of HIF-1a had significant correlation with ET-1.There are relationship between HIF-1a,ET-1 and the occurrence,development of GISTs.HIF-1a,ET-1 probably participate in the proliferation.Infiltration and metabasis;The detection of HIF-1a,ET-1 in GISTs is available to the malignant level evaluation,therapy guidance and prognosis evaluation.
