Observation On The Short-term Therapeutic Effectiveness Of Pelvic Floor Reconstruction With Gynecare Prolift System

Objiectives:To observe the short-term rapeutic effectiveness of Pelvic floor reconstruction with Gynecare Prolift system.Methods:35women who were admitted in the obstetric and gynecologic department of the second XiangYa hospital and 15 women who were admitted in some other hospitals during April 2007 to April 2009,who were suffered from pelvic organ prolapse,accepted the pelvic reconstruction surgeries with Gynecare Prolift system,while 34 patients with total pelvic reconstruction surgery,14 patients with anterior pelvic reconstruction surgery and one with posterior pelvic reconstruction surgery.We investigated the change of life quality before and after the surgeries to evaluate the short-term effectiveness of the pelvic reconstruction surgery with Gynecare Prolift system.Results:(1) The average period of hospitalization was 12.9±0.7 days. The average operation time of pelvic reconstruction surgeries was 100.0±10.9min and the average blood loss was 158.1±20.9ml.The average operation time of pelvic reconstruction surgery together with trans-vaginal hysterectomy was 126.9±9.7min and the average blood loss was227.2±29.3ml.They were discharged medially with self-catheterization for 5.2±0.4days after surgery.(2) One patient(2%) suffered from bladder injury.(3) There was no post-operation complication such as infection or hematoma,but one patient(2%) who suffered from the urinary retention On the second day after total pelvic reconstruction surgery was discharged with self-catheterization for two days.(4) In the first six months after the surgery,four patients(8.2%) suffered from the mesh-corrosionand,two patients(6%) had to accept another surgery because of the recurrence of dougiasceleⅡ。While,32 patients(95.1%of the total pelvic reconstruction surgery group) had promised short-term results.(5)Five patients in the anterior pelvic reconstruction surgery group had the recurrence of dougiascele,the rate was 35.7%(one had gradeⅡ,the others had gradeⅠ).Conclusions:(1)The application of the pelvic reconstruction surgery with Gynecare Prolift system was simple,While the complications occurred rarely and the short-term recurrence rate was low. (2)The group with anterior pelvic reconstruction surgery had a high recurrence rate.
