Clinical Study About The Effect Of Wenyangtongbi Soup On Coronary Heart Disease With Deficiency Of The Yang Of The Heart And Kidney (XSYX)

Objective: To observe the clinical effects of Wenyangtongbi (WYTB) soup on patients with XSYX of coronary heart disease(CHD).Method: 60 patients with XSYX of coronary heart disease from October 2005 to January 2006 were selected and divided into two groups randomly (treatment group and control group). Conventional western medical theraphy was given to both groups for 2 weeks, at the same time, the treatment group was added with WYTB soup. The curative effect on ECG, angina pectoris, Chinese medical syndromes, CRP, function of heart and blood lipid were observed .Results: The total effective rate was 86.7 % in the treatment group and 63.3% in the control group .There was significant difference between the two groups ( p<0.05 ) .The total effective rate of Chinese medical syndromes was 93.3 % in the treatment and 66.7 % in the control group ,with a significant difference between the two groups ( P<0.01) .The total effective rate of angina pectoris was 90.0 % in the treatment and 76.7 % in the control group ,with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05 ) . The total effective rate of ECG was 86.7 % in the treatment and 63.3 % in the control group .with a significant difference between the two groups( P<0.05 ) . There was significant difference between the two groups on the condition of rescue medication after treatment. (p<0.05). After 2 weeks, a significant fall of CRP, TC, TG and LDL-C was found in both groups( P<0.05 ), with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05) There was significant improvement of cardiac function in both groups( P<0.05 ), with a significant difference between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion : WYTB soup is an effective prescription to the patients with XSYX of CHD.
