A Clinical Investigation On The Relationship Between Distribution Patterns Of Mirror-like Tongue And TCM Syndrome Differentiation

Objective:To investigate the mirror-like tongue's characteristic and sum up Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) syndrome characteristic of the mirror-like tongue,in order to offer reference to TCM treatment and provide scientific bases for further study.Methods:Clinical observation:during the cross-sectional investigation, 226 patients were collected as subjects and all of them were the patients of the mirror-like tongue.Photos of the mirror-like tongue were taken by numeral camera Canon DIGITAL IXUS 55.At the same time,we evaluated their TCM syndrome such as symptom,physical sign,tongue and pulse which collected through observation,auscultation,interrogation and palpation.Results:The results showed that the number of male patients with the mirror-like tongue was 40.27%and the number of female patients with the mirror-like tongue was 59.73%,lower than that in female.The age factor had significant effect on the mirror-like tongue.The color of mirror-like tongue by is red and the scarlet red primarily,but the distributions in shape of tongue and in movement of tongue then are not remarkable characteristic.The occurrence of mirror-like tongue by is not merely Yin deficient, and include cold syndrome,hot syndrome,sthenia syndrome and so on,involving many pathological organs.Conclusion:The distributions of the mirror-like tongue in tongue color, shape,movement and the syndrome compare the traditional view's to be widespread.Not only Yin deficient,but also cold syndrome,hot syndrome,sthenia syndrome and so on may all cause mirror-like tongue. Therefore,regarding the patient's treatment of mirror-like tongue in the forever,we will have to unify the patient's concrete symptom,the body drafts,the comprehensive considered,the synthesis analysis and only then we will achieve the diagnosis and treatment and obtain the satisfactory curative effects.
