Expression Of MUC2, MUC5AC And Villin In Precancerous Lesions And Gastric Carcinoma And Its Clinical Significance

Objective To investigate the expression of MUC2,MUC5AC and villin in precancerous lesions and gastric carcinoma,and the clinical value of this change in predicting gastric mucosa carcinomatous change;to investigate the clinical value of combined detection of MUC2,MUC5AC and villin expression on the diagnosis of gastric carcinoma,and in predicting prognosi of gastric carcinoma.Method MUC2,MUC5AC and villin expression of gastric mucosa of the patients with gastric cancer(n=60) were examined immunohistochemically,Using the technology of immunohistochemistry SP and its clinical-pathologic significance were analysised on the patients with gastric cancer.All the datas were analyzed by SPSS13.0 statistical package,the count information calculated the positive rate,enumeration date are expressed by standard deviation[X±S].The comparison of positive rates uses the Chi-square.The relation of two variable are analyzed by the correlation analysis.The level of significant diference is 0.05.Results(1) The expression rate of MUC2,MUC5AC and villin have significant discrepancy among the normal gastric mucosa,Intestinal metaplasia,Atypical hyperplasia and gastric carcinoma(P＜0.05).(2)The expression rate of MUC2 were relate to the clinicopathologic factors in gastric carcinoma.The expression rate of MUC2 had significant discrepancy on diferent tumor stage,the tumor differentiation,the depth of tumor infiltration and whether the tumor had lymph nodes metastasis or not(P＜0.05).The expression rate of MUC5AC and villin had significant discrepancy on the tumor differentiation(P＜0.05).(3)The expression rate of MUC2 and villin had significant discrepancy on the Lauren's types (P＜0.05).(4)Single-variate analysis indicated that the factors including the tumor stage,the tumor differentiation,with or without lymph nodes metastasis,the depth of tumor infiltration,the expression of MUC2 were all related to the 5 years survival rate in post-operation of gastric cancer.Multivariate analysis indicated that only the expression of MUC2 was the most important prognostic factors.Conclusion(1)Surveillance of MUC2,MUC5AC and villin expression of gastric mucosa may help to prognosis the evolution of gastric carcinoma.(2)Surveillance of MUC2 expression in gastric mucosa may contribute to the early diagnosis on the gastric carcinoma,and to judge the tumor stage,the tumor diferentiation and whether the tumor have lymph nodes metastasis or not.(3) MUC2 and Villin is good markers for different types of gastric cancer,especially for studying the characteristics of intestinal metaplasia and intestinal gastric cancer,and has certain guiding sense to the early diagnosis and clinical treatment.
