Effects Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Shugan Xiaozhi Decoction Ⅲ On Fatty Liver Induced By Alcohol In Rats

Objective:To observe therapeutic effects of Shugan Xiaozhi DecoctionⅢ(SXDⅢ), a chinese herb compond,on treating alchoholic fatty liver(AFL)of modle rats,trying to clarify the mecchanism of it's therapeutic effects.Methods:After feeding with ordinary diet one week, Rat model with AFL was established by feeding fatty forage and 56% alcohol for 8 weeks.When pathological inspection showed that the model of alcoholic fatty liver of was established,all model rats were radomly divided into five groups: model group,SXDⅢ-treated groups and Essentiale group. SXDⅢ-treated groups and Essentiale group were treated with deffrent dose of SXDⅢand Essentiale for 5 weeks,at the same time,the positive control group was intragastricly fed with silymarin. By the end of the 14th week,all rats were weighed and sacrificed.After the rats were killed, The serum lipid was contented. Serum level of total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),low density lipoprotein(LDL-C) was detected; Activity of aspartate aminotransferase (AST),alanine aminotransferase (ALT) was detected; Serum lever of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α),malondialdehyde (MDA),superoxide dismutase (SOD) was examined by enzy-linked immunospecific assay method.Results:With SXDⅢtreatment,contents of serum TG,TC,LDL-C of AFL rats were significantly decreased while the level of HDL-C increased highly; activity of AST,ALT was depressed while activity of SOD increased highly;the level of serum TNF-α,MDA,TBA was obviously decreased. Steatosis of hepatic tissue obviously improved.Conclusion:SXDⅢhave therapeutic effects on alcoholic fatty of rats, including:reduce blood fat,decrease liver fat, decrease activity of transamnase. We presume that the therapeutic effects of SXDⅢmaybe through reducing serum TNF-α,MDA level and rasing SOD level,facilitate fatty acid oxidation,reduce lipid production of liver.
