ObjectiveIn order to survey bronchial asthma Prevalence and its risk factors in city proper areas of Qingdao City, this epidemiology study was carried out in Licang district and Shinan district, for the purpose of providing basis for Prevention and management of bronchial asthma.MethodsUsing uniform scheme, procedure and questionnaire, performing stratified -cluster -disproportional-random-sampling survey for the population in the areas, a total of 2026 inhabitants were investigated in this study. All the original data were inputted into soft discs in the same form of data base structure variable definition table, and then were statistically analyzed with SAS 8.2 for windows on computer.Results①prevalence: The overall prevalence rate of city proper inhabitants of super-15-year old with bronchial asthma in Qingdao City was 3.12%, the prevalence rate of male was 2.56% and the prevalence rate of female was 3.68%, so the prevalence rate of male is 1.44 times than female's, there was significant difference between male and female(χ2=5.75,p<0.05).; the prevalence rate in old city proper is higher than new city proper(3.08% vs 1.41%). there was a great difference in various age groups, the prevalence rate of age 15-29 and >age 70 are two higher groups, and the prevalence rate of female in age 15-29 is obviously higher than male's.②allergy history, family history, occupation: In 188 patients, 164(87.23%) patients have obvious allergy history. 60(31.91%) patients have family history of asthma, 24 (12.77%) patients have obvious vocational contact factor.③smoke: In 188 patients, 84(44.68%)patients usually smoked passively, 52(27.66%)patients smoked actively. The prevalence rate of bronchial asthma in the smoking people was higher than that in no-smoking people, there was significant difference in smoking states(OR value was 1.50.).④oil smog in kitchen: The prevalence rate of bronchial asthma heightened with the degree of oil smog in kitchen. (OR value was 1.46 and 1.89,p<0.05)⑤etiological factor: All of 188 patients have obvious etiological factor, 120 (63.82%) was respiratory infection.⑥seasons: Bronchial asthma has obvious season of setting on: 9,10,11(48.94%) and 4,5,6 (25.52%).⑦The influence of multiple risk factors to the prevalence of bronchial asthma: The risk factors which were significant were analyzed by Logistic regression and only the heritage, age, smoking history, oil smog in kitchen, vocational contact could increase the risk of suffering from asthma (P<0.05, OR>1) .Conclusion①Age 15-29 and >age 70 are two higher age groups about the prevalence rate of city proper inhabitants in Qingdao,..②The risk factors of asthma as following: sex, age, allergy history, family history, vocational contact, smoking, oil smog in kitchen, living areas, season, the special period in a day. Only the age, heritage, allergy history, smoking history, vocational contact, oil smog in kitchen could increase the risk of bronchial asthma, after the risk factors which were significant were analyzed by Logistic regression.③Respiratory infection is the most important factor that leads to and induces asthma.④Bronchial asthma has obvious seasonality.
