Objective:To study the associate between carotid atherosclerosis and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase (PCK1) promoter 232 and exon 4 144 gene polymorphism.,and explore the genetic mark of the susceptibility of carotid atherosclerosis. Methods:The polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism(PCR-RELP) was used to analyze the gene polymorphism of PCK1 in 95 cases of B-detection of carotid atherosclerosis patients and 106 healthy controls.Results:1. In carotid atherosclerosis group, PCK1 promoter 232 genotype GC area ratio was significantly higher than the control while CC genotype was significantly lower than the rate of the control group, G allele frequency higher than the control, and statistically significant difference (P <0.01). PCK1 promoter prompted the 232GC genotype carotid atherosclerosis in the susceptible genotype, G allele with carotid atherosclerosis in the occurrence of significant relevance.2.There is relationship between PCK1 promoter 232 gene variant and carotid artery plaque, and not related to carotid artery IMT .3. In carotid atherosclerosis group, GC, GG genotype compared with CC genotype, which have significantly higher postprandial blood glucose; in the control group, GC, GG genotype compared with CC genotype, have elevated postprandial blood glucose trends , but no statistical significance, results suggest that, G mutant allele may be associated with postprandial blood glucose levels are related to each other.4.Exon 4 144G / C gene polymorphism and carotid atherosclerosis was no significant correlation.5. Postprandial blood glucose, total cholesterol, systolic blood pressure, PCK1 promoter 232C / G is the formation of carotid atherosclerosis risk factors.Conclusions:1,PCK1 promoter 232C / G gene polymorphism and carotid atherosclerosis has a clear correlation, and the G allele is a risk factors for arteriosclerosis.2,PCK1 promoter of the gene variant 232 associated with postprandial blood glucose, and individuals carrying the G allele was significantly increased postprandial blood glucose.3,PCK1 of exon 4 144G / C gene polymorphism and carotid atherosclerosis in non-related to each other.4,Postprandial blood glucose, total cholesterol, systolic blood pressure are the formation of carotid atherosclerosis risk factors.
