Objective A systematic review was conducted to determine reliability of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography diagnostic tests for focal nodular hyperplasia and to explore sources of heterogeneity. Methods Published studies were identified by Pubmed,CBM,CNKI,VIP to search Focal nodular hyperplasia using contrast—enhanced ultrasonography. The quality of the included studies was assessed using the QUADAS tool.Meta-disc software was used to extract data and to caleculate the summary diagnostic odds ratio, summary sensitivity and specificity, summary positive likelihood ratio and summary negative likelihood ratio, and the summary receiver operating characteristic(SROC)curve was drawn.Result Seven studies were included.summary sensitivity and specificity was 0.89 (CI:0.96~0.99) and 0.98(CI:0.96~0.99) respectively; summary positive likelihood ratio was 37.89(CI:17.01~84.40); summary negative likelihood ratio was 0.19(CI:0.09~0.41); the summary diagnostic odds ratio was 249.62(CI:95.37~653.38);Weighted area under curve(AUC) was 0.99,SE was 0.02.Conclusion Seven studies were moderate qualitified; Meta-disc showed that summary sensitivity and specificity were high and contrast-enhanced ultrasonography has a high value in diagnosis of Focal nodular hyperplasia; The prevalence rate of focal nodular hyperplasia did not affect the diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography; by means of the heterogeneity discussion to improve our level of diagnostic research reports in the future.
